For us, anything from a few hundred thousand contacts upwards. Fortitude Send routinely runs single campaigns of 5 to 10 million recipients, and the operators behind it manage first-party databases of more than 10 million contacts.
Why does single-domain sending fail at scale?
One domain can only safely carry so much volume before mailbox providers throttle or block it. Past a certain size, pushing everything through one sender concentrates risk: one bad day takes everything down. A warmed multi-domain pool spreads that risk by design.
